Care Instructions

Keep your sleep products in perfect condition with proper care and maintenance.

Mattress Care

  • Check the law tag to confirm you received the correct mattress model based on your order.
  • Adjust your foundation so that it is "flat and plumb" in the frame.
  • Adjust your frame so that it is tight and confirm everything is assembled properly.

If you continue to experience an issue, contact your mattress retailer for resolution of any other questions you may have.

If you spill liquid on your mattress, please take the following steps. The mattress should never become wet, so we cannot promise that these steps will completely remove the stain or odor.

  • If your mattress has a cover, first remove the cover and wash it in cold water with mild detergent. Hang dry for best results. Never use bleach or bleaching products with the cover.
  • After the cover has been removed, soak up as much of the liquid as possible using towels. This may require pressing down on the material with the towel(s) to release the moisture.
  • Once excess moisture is removed, let the mattress air dry. To speed up the drying process, you can use a fan to blow cool air on the mattress.

We do not recommend using an electric blanket or heating pad with your mattress. Due to the temperature-sensitivity of the materials we use, adding high heat can hinder its ability to react to your body temperature and conform to your body shape. If you ever do use an electric blanket or heating pad, we recommend limiting its use to 30 minutes. Only use an electric blanket or heating pad on low or medium heat.

Mattress protectors are designed to inhibit dust mites, bed bugs, allergens, mold, mildew, bacteria and dead skin cells from building up in your mattress. The mattress protector will protect your investment. Mattresses that become stained or unsanitary at the time will void the mattress comfort and warranty guarantees. Be advised the mattress protector and/or mattress pad may slightly alter the feel of your mattress.

Most likely the noise is coming from the frame or cross slats where the foundation is rubbing on the hardware. The best way to isolate the source of the noise is to lay the foundation and the mattress on the floor and secure everything separately.

We recommend rotating your mattress 180 degrees (head to foot) every 3 to 6 months. Most modern mattresses are designed as one-sided and should not be flipped. Rotating helps distribute wear evenly and extends the lifespan of the mattress.

Use a solid, flat, and sturdy foundation that provides uniform support. Slatted bases should have slats no more than 7 cm apart. Avoid placing the mattress on the floor, as this restricts airflow and may promote moisture buildup. Using an improper foundation may void your warranty.

Pillow Care

We recommend replacing your pillow every 1 to 2 years. Over time, pillows lose their shape and support, and can accumulate allergens. If your pillow no longer springs back when folded in half, it is time for a replacement.

It depends on the pillow type. Down and synthetic pillows can usually be machine washed on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Memory foam and latex pillows should never be machine washed — instead, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Always check the care label for specific instructions. Use a pillow protector to reduce the need for frequent washing.

Air your pillow out regularly by placing it in a well-ventilated area. Use a breathable pillow protector and wash pillowcases weekly. Fluff your pillow daily to maintain loft and allow moisture to evaporate. Avoid sleeping with wet hair, as excess moisture promotes bacterial growth.

Bedding & Linen Care

We recommend washing your bed sheets once a week. Use warm water (not hot) and a gentle detergent. Avoid fabric softeners on performance fabrics as they can reduce breathability. Tumble dry on low heat or line dry to preserve the quality and softness of the fabric.

Always use a duvet cover to protect your duvet from stains and wear. Wash the duvet cover every 2 to 4 weeks. The duvet itself should be professionally cleaned or washed 2 to 3 times per year. Down duvets require a large-capacity washer — use a mild detergent and tumble dry on low with dryer balls to restore loft.

Wash and fully dry all bedding before storing. Store in a breathable cotton bag or clean linen — never in plastic, which traps moisture and can cause mildew. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid vacuum-sealed bags for down products, as compression can damage the fill.

General Tips

  • Use a mattress protector and pillow protectors from day one.
  • Rotate your mattress every 3 to 6 months.
  • Ensure your bedroom is well-ventilated to reduce moisture buildup.
  • Avoid sitting on the edge of the mattress repeatedly, as this can cause premature sagging.
  • Keep pets off the mattress to prevent damage and allergen buildup.
  • Follow the care label instructions on all products.

Yes, slight body impressions are normal and indicate that the comfort layers are conforming to your body shape. This is not a defect. Regular rotation helps distribute wear evenly. If the impression exceeds 3 cm in depth and affects your comfort, contact us for a warranty evaluation.

Yes, a mild odor from a new mattress is completely normal and harmless. This is known as "off-gassing" and occurs with all new foam-based products. It typically dissipates within a few days. To speed up the process, remove all packaging, place the mattress in a well-ventilated room, and allow fresh air to circulate.

We strongly advise against bending or folding your mattress, as this can damage the internal structure, springs, and comfort layers. Always transport your mattress flat or on its side. If your mattress arrived compressed and rolled, allow it to fully expand for 24 to 48 hours before use.
